Patrick Bazinet graduated from Acadia University in 2017 with a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology. He has worked with True North as a health researcher and clinical assistant since 2012 and did clinical training with the NSHA Adult Mental Health team in the Annapolis Valley. His diverse background includes work as a fitness trainer, martial arts coach, organic farm worker, and conducting academic research on the effects of nutrition on mental health.
Patrick’s practice with adults focuses on helping people take positive action in their lives to overcome fear, low mood, emotional instability, and difficult life changes. His therapy approach combines cognitive-behavioural, Acceptance and Commitment, mindfulness, and dialectical behaviour therapy. He also conducts assessments with adults for educational needs (e.g. learning disabilities, ADHD) and enjoys helping clients develop plans that capitalize on personal strengths and work around areas of weakness.
